Ultra Seal is DECCO's water-based polyurethane protective sealer designed to protect finished MicroCement surfaces while maintaining their decorative appearance.
The sealer provides the protective barrier that helps the finished surface resist water, stains, wear and everyday use. Proper sealing is essential to the long-term performance of a MicroCement system.
Apply the number of coats specified in the current DECCO Installation Guidelines and Technical Data Sheet for your application. Do not reduce the recommended sealer build, particularly on floors and wet areas.
Yes, when used as part of the appropriate DECCO MicroCement system. After the final coat, wet rooms and showers should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 7 days before exposure to water.
Keep the finished surface free from traffic for at least 24 hours. Avoid heavy traffic, furniture placement and concentrated loads for at least 72 hours. Environmental conditions can affect curing times.
Under normal conditions, the DECCO MicroCement and topcoat system reaches full mechanical and chemical performance after approximately 21 days.
Use pH-neutral cleaning products and avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemicals. For floors, periodic use of DECCO Wax Floor Finish is recommended to provide an additional sacrificial layer of protection and help extend the maintenance life of the polyurethane sealer.
